Yes, chocolate oysters are real

On a chocolate tour of historic Dupnot Circle district in Washington DC I came across a peculiar chocolate formation that my hometown of Cavite, Philippines would surely appreciate, as it is known for having the freshest shellfish in the country but I digress. Back to the delicious chocolate! woohoo!

Among other interesting items on the tour was a dried up cacao bean provided by our knowledgeable guide and the surprising chocolate infused tea. The tour took us through various shops in Dupnot Circle like a farmers market, coffee shop, tea house and diner all with some interesting chocolate offerings, places you probably never would have thought to come to first for a chocolate fix.

Why go on this tour? If your a fan of chocolate and like learning about new places to feed your chocolate cravings this tour is for you or if you're just in town and looking for something interesting to do or maybe just don't know what Dupnot Circle has to offer you'll appreciate this tour.

This informative and sweet tooth encouraged walk by DC Metro Chocolate Tours was a pleasing experience for me and I learned a few things along the way. The next time you're around the DC area I recommend taking one of these tours. Travel, eat, snap and make those colors pop!
