My wife and I are off on a shameless plug about a recently opened taiyaki shop we launched this February 1, 2017. As you might know my wife and I have been traveling around Asia and one of our favorite things to do is to try local cuisine where we are. Having been born and lived in Japan for a few years Japanese food is dear to my heart. To my amazement our travels to Korea introduced me to a fusion of Japanese cuisine and Korean innovation. Taiyaki Ice Cream Cones found in the streets of Korea gave us the idea of opening our own store in our homeland of the Philippines where these treats haven't been served to the masses yet. With the mentality of challenging each other we set out to create our business and our brand. Have you ever told yourself "I can do that" you have all the means to do a certain something but then you never do it because of whatever excuse you can think of. I've done this numerous times but this time it was different I challenged myself to actually pull through with this idea and after months of effort my wife and I can finally present to you Chibi Chibi Soft Serve an ice cream shop that serves taiyaki parfaits with floats and other upcoming ice cream ideas. So please if you are in the Maginhawa area of Quezon City look for us at The Station Food Park 178 Maginhawa Street.
What you need to know
We opened up an ice cream shop called Chibi Chibi Soft Serve! We serve taiyaki ice cream parfaits. Our menu consists of floats and taiyaki cones at the moment, more ice cream ideas to follow. Our taiyaki parfaits gives you the choice of choosing what kind of toppings and fillings you want in your taiyaki ice cream parfait. The categories consist of filling, crunch, fruit and topping. These four categories all have multiple ingredients to choose from where you ultimately dictate what you want in you parfait. Some of our ingredients of choice are Nutella, almond Pepero, strawberries and Biscoff cookie butter. Our floats at the moment are made up of two main flavors Ichigo Pink (Strawberry float) and Midori Apple (Apple float) more flavors to come in the future. Come at the right time and you'll see us making the taiyaki cones with our specialized machine we got while we were in Korea. We try to make our taiyaki cones as picture ready as possible and have even provided a back drop for you to take those instagram photos. Feel free to take as many photos as you want but don't forget to tag us on your uploads #chibisoftserve.
Where can you find us?
We are located at The Station Food Park on Maginhawa Street Quezon city. We are the sixth stall on the left when you are walking into the food park. The station food park is a train station themed food park that will have life sized trains where you can dine in. Look for our logo it's hard to miss. At the moment we are opening daily but not to sure about Tuesday but any other day of the week at 4PM we should be ready serve some soft serve, wink. Our actual address

Why you should come down
Well, you'll be doing us a favor, wink wink. But seriously we put a lot of time and effort to bring the taiyaki ice cream experience to Manila we've chosen the ingredients personally to make sure they're up to par. We carefully chose the taiyaki machine we wanted to use to make sure it looked like the cutest fish you could eat your ice cream out of not just some machine you can order from China with a half slashed fish face. Plus we are located within a food park so there's a lot of food to choose from, after having dinner think of us and have a taiyaki parfait for dessert.
Why are we called Chibi Chibi Soft Serve?
Again after carefully choosing the taiyaki machine we chose a cone maker with a small taiyaki molding iron just the right amount of taiyaki to ice cream ratio. We felt like the other taiyaki cones out in Manila right now were to big and a bit too much. That being said in Japanese the word "chibi" can be translated to shorty in English so in other words we wanted to say our cones are shorter and cuter plus it sounds really catchy!
So, this is all I can think of at the moment please let us know if you have any questions in the comment section and pass by as soon as you can. Bye! thanks for taking the time to read this post. Share, spread the word, like, let us know what you think and best of all come on down and order a taiyaki cone from us!
